Each of the books offered by Silk’s Vault has what we call a ‘Silk Grade‘, a letter that rates the level of sexual content found in the books. As you can see this rating system spells out the name of Silk and therefore is copyrighted and can not be used by any other outside source. (Trademark is pending)
S-Sensual: Titles that contain love scenes suggesting sexuality and are usually geared more towards the physical rather than spiritual or intellectual. These titles are often geared towards affecting the senses or a sense organ with unrestrained pleasure while sparking the imagination. Within S-graded titles, the reader will also find graphic terms to display the male and female anatomy, thus the overall flavor to the story will be more sensual in nature.

I-Illicit: Titles that contain not only S-graded material but are more explicit in detail. These types of titles usually leave nothing to the imagination and are usually not sanctioned by the traditional customs of regular romance novels. In addition, some I-graded titles might contain fantasy material that some readers may find objectionable, such as light bondage, submission, same sex encounters, forced seductions, etc.

L-Lusty: Love scenes that contain S and I-graded material but are much more explicit, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination. These titles possess a high volume per the overall word count and contain far more fantasy material, such as bondage, submission, same sex encounters, forced seductions, etc. L-graded titles are where you will find the most graphic displays of sex, for instance it is common for an author to use terms that are more frank and blunt in nature such as "fucking", "cock", "pussy", etc..

K-Kinky: Love scenes that usually contain all of the previously mentioned grades but differ from L-graded titles only in plot, premise and storyline execution. They also show or appeal more to the bizarre or deviant tastes, especially of a sexual or erotic nature. Unlike L-graded titles, stories designated with the grade K tend to contain controversial subject matter not for the faint of heart.
