Missy has lived her entire life in the Salt Lake City Valley, where she has raised a family of three children and three stepchildren. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with her grandchildren. Missy is a member of the Romance Writers of America and several sister chapters. She is currently Vice-President for the Romance Writers of America Utah Chapter.

Missy and her husband love traveling, their favorite is the Caribbean, giving her valuable insight for her stories. She fills them with colorful descriptions of places she has visited, painting colorful backdrops for her characters.
